His second original novel, The Final Détente, explores artificial intelligence, nuclear brinkmanship, and moral responsibility. David Moss is an American novelist, media entrepreneur, and veteran broadcasting executive whose work explores the intersection of science, technology, faith, and the human condition.
For more than four decades, he has built a career in broadcasting and digital media as an on-air personality, producer, entrepreneur, and executive. He is the founder and CEO of Thasis Radio Network, a digital broadcasting company operating a portfolio of internet radio stations.
A lifelong science-fiction enthusiast, Moss was inspired by the imaginative storytelling of Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Larry Niven, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Carl Sagan. His writing follows that tradition of using extraordinary scientific possibilities to explore deeply human questions about existence, consciousness, morality, love, and sacrifice.
Moss is the author of two full-length Star Trek fan-fiction novels, The City Beyond Forever and Star Trek: The Forbidden Planet. The City Beyond Forever has attracted thousands of downloads, establishing an audience for his fiction among readers who appreciate the philosophical depth and character-driven storytelling of classic science fiction.
His first original novel, The Bootstrap Paradox, grew from an idea that occupied his imagination for nearly twenty years. Drawing upon scientific research and theological inquiry, the novel explores the multiverse, the nature of divinity, and an artificial intelligence that unexpectedly develops faith.
